The Hospital Wing, which Rainbow had helped to fund, has 4 hospital beds, the doctors surgery, where the doctor visits during the week, and the nurses office and pharmacy

with the scales to weigh and measure the children as this is now a legal requirement

outdoor play areaWhen it rained the children all had to return to their dormitories as there was no covered play area outside
So we helped them to finance one |

the boiler
When we visited in May 2018 we discovered that one of the boilers was broken
These are wood burning boilers which provide hot water and some heating The boiler was bought in 2005 for £10,000 A similar sized boiler would probably cost around £5,000; They needed something in place for August or September, when it starts to get colder. |

The Pigs!We had a request from Edi to say that the Children's Home wanted to buy some pigs
These would be used as an example to teach the children about care for animals and where their food comes from and eventually would be slaughtered and eaten The home now has 4 pigs which we bought for them |
